We treat Permanent Make Up as a fine art.

Permanent make-up is an innovative and revolutionary artistic technique. Also known as Micropigmentation or cosmetic tattoo, Permanent Make-up consists of implanting natural pigments (vegetable and mineral extracts) under the superficial layers of the skin. Using a small sterile micro-needle, the natural pigments are inserted between the dermis and the epidermis, creating a lasting cosmetic effect. This effect reflects a visual illusion where hair or color is missing (as in eyebrows, eyeliner, lip liner and color).

In Bőröd Spa we use hypo-allergenic pigments specifically designed for facial application, which contain no added fragrances or emollients. The technique is simple and revolutionary.

Imagine waking up every day with subtle, natural enhancements already in place, so that all you have to do is shower and go! No more endless regimes during the day to make yourself look perfect, but more time to spend on doing the things you most enjoy!

Micropigmentation delivers fantastic results in the medical field. Specialized camouflage techniques can disguise and improve many medical conditions such as reconstruction of areola/nipple, reconstruction of cleft lip palate, scar & stretch mark camouflage, burns, alopecia, hair replacement and vitiligo.

Eyebrows are the frame for your eyes and face, when designed properly, they can lift the eyes for a more youthful appearance. Semi-permanent make-up for eyebrows fills and defines the shape of your eyebrows giving a softer look than pencil shaping. This procedure is perfect if your eyebrows are sparse from tweezing or shaving, as well as if they are lighter than desired.

Hair-Stroke Technique Or Microblading

The Feather Hair-Stroke Technique is the newest revolutionary 3-D effect for permanent make-up eyebrows, and is great for filling in sparse areas of the brows so that they naturally blend with your own hair.

It’s perfect for brows that have been tweezed too much and won’t grow back. The Feather Hair- Stroke design gives a nice, soft, natural appearance that looks like real hair. This technique takes advanced training to perfect, and should only be done by a qualified permanent make-up artists.

Permanent Make-up Removal

This is an excellent process to remove your micropigmentation. This treatment utilizes a specially designed inorganic chemical remover which is applied using the same process as the original permanent make-up or tattoo. It is developed to draw pigment out of the skin and remove unwanted tattoos.
Permanent make-up can usually be removed in a single visit and treatment is effective on all tattoo colors.
Treatments are spaced 8-12 weeks apart and larger tattoos may have to be divided into sections for subsequent treatment.

Medical Tattooing

Medical tattooing/camouflage can significantly improve a person’s body image, physiological state, and emotional well-being—especially those with scars, burns and skin diseases.

Often the finishing touch after a surgical procedure, Medical Tattooing/Camouflage can be the end of a highly emotional journey. Once the skin has healed, pigment can be infused and blended into the surrounding skin tone to camouflage an imperfection and create the illusion of smoother skin. A colored pigment can also be infused to create an optical effect such as the Areola Nipple Complex after breast surgery. In the case of Alopecia or hair loss, an optical effect of a hair stroke can be created to give the appearance of eyebrows or eyelashes.

Medical tattoo prices vary. Please call us and make an appointment for consultations.

Areola Restoration

This procedure gives a natural looking 3D effect, which completes the aesthetic appearance of the Areola Nipple Complex. Sometimes after reconstruction surgery the Areola Nipple Complex can be pale or unnatural in appearance. Medical tattooing can correct color imperfections and make the areola look more natural.

Scar Camouflage

This procedure is ideal for scars caused by accidents or injuries, 'face lift' scars or scars from other surgical procedures. Generally one year after a scar has healed, pigment can be infused to help match the surrounding skin tone.

Vitiligo is a skin disorder where there is hypopigmentation (loss of skin color).

1 in 100 people in the USA develop Vitiligo. It can occur at any age, but most commonly begins before the age of 20. In some cases, medical tattooing can be successful in camouflaging the loss of skin colour to match the surrounding skin tones.

Scalp Micropigmentation

This is a non-invasive treatment that uses micro-needles to deposit pigment into the scalp and create the appearance of tiny hair follicles. It is an effective hair loss solution that looks natural, requires nearly no recovery time, and helps restore the look of fuller hair. While it is common to notice slight redness on the scalp for 1-2 days post-treatment, this will subside quickly, and most clients return to work right away. Clients are allowed to wear hats or other headwear if desired.

Scalp micropigmentation should never be considered a one treatment process. Depending on the extent of hair loss or scarring, clients can expect between 3-5 treatment sessions.

Clients should expect the strength of their color to last for many years, though the exact duration is partially dependent on an individual’s immune system and sun exposure. Slight lightening will occur over time, but can be easily fixed with a brief touch-up session.

Cleft Lip

The appearance of a cleft lip can be dramatically improved by creating symmetrical shaped lips and camouflaging scar tissue.
